STAY ON TRACK HIS BANK HOLIDAY…⬇⬇⬇

SLEEP LIKE A BABY

You have made some awesome progress so far, so, if you sleep less this weekend, this can change
the levels of hormones in your body that help to regulate appetite.

This then leads to eating snacks you don’t really want/need.

FRESH AIR IS KEY

So then, we all like a bit of booze during a bank holiday, I once even committed to a 4-day session over a bank holiday and immediately regretted it.

The hangover sets in and you sit on your ass all day feeling sorry for yourself and eating LOTS of comfort food.

Get out, have some fresh air, see your friends (not down the boozer again!), and stay active (walk, etc)

DON’T BUY CRAP FOODS

You think that you have the willpower to stave off temptation, but now one can resist crap food, especially when a hangover sets in OR if you have shit food in the house, shouting at you from the cupboard… EAT ME!

The easiest way is to shop early (before the beer/wine) and buy what you need/want to ensure you don’t order big fat takeaways or succumb to a family bag of Doritos.

DRINK WATER (LOTS OF IT!)

Getting into the habit of drinking more water could help for the following reasons:

It can help suppress appetite (You will eat less)
It increases energy levels (You will move more)
It replaces calorific drinks (You will get less fat)

I get it, you may pee a lot, but drinking more water to ensure you eat fewer calories is a great way to keep the chunky bits at bay.

LIVE A LITTLE (HAVE SOMETHING YOU LIKE)

Do yourself and your family a favour have a bit of what you like (I’m not saying 3 x burgers, 3 x hot dogs, and 3 x litres of wine) however, be mindful of what you eat and don’t regret the weekend like I did on my 4-day bender!

In summary, following the core 4 principles of nutrition (Water, Protein, Sleep & Activity) will keep you fighting fit for the next bank holiday
